My Role As A District Councillor

I was proud to be elected as Ward Councillor for Alconbury and The Stukeleys in May 2006 and re-elected in May 2010.

As I have always lived in the area, I feel I have the local knowledge that is necessary to represent the local community.

My Committee and Panel appointments for the District Council include:-

• Council 
• Licensing and Protection Panel and Licensing Committee - I partake in frequent Sub-Committee hearings which deal with Club and Premises Licences issued by the District Council. I also attend regular meetings of the Applications Sub-Group, which handles the issue of taxi licences across the District.
• Overview and Scrutiny Panel (Social Well-Being) - This Panel is responsible for scrutinising the District Council's Cabinet.
