About Me

I have lived in Alconbury Weston all my life, where I grew up and raised my own family.

Having grown up with a farming background, I have been involved in my family's farming business since the age of 18. Whilst still operating as a family run business, over the past 6 years, the work has been contracted out to a local business.

Before becoming a District Councillor I was a Special Constable in Cambridgeshire for some 25 years, and I have served on the Huntingdonshire Crime Prevention Panel. I was also an active member of the National Farmers Union (NFU), of which I was Chairman for the Huntingdonshire area and I was also a Governor for the Milton Agricultural College. Additionally, I am a founder member and past president of the Huntingdon Cromwell Rotary Club. I have served on various Committees, including the Youth Activities Committee and have acted as a Liaison Officer, working with the Rotaract Club (ages 18-30).

My past and present voluntary work reflects my keen interest in both law and order and working with the youth of Huntingdonshire.

I have a keen interest in sport and in the past I have represented local teams in both rugby and cricket and I also currently enjoy playing golf.
