Such vehicles are restricted to a maximum of eight passengers and there are currently 469 licensed by the Council. Prior to being licensed, vehicles are required to undergo an examination to ensure that they are mechanically sound and of an acceptable standard both in appearance and cleanliness. The mechanical test is to MOT standards irrespective of the age of the vehicle.
The Council is inviting companies with vehicle examination centres located within the District of Huntingdonshire that are VOSA approved MOT testing stations to tender for the contract to carry out these examinations.
